The couples’ initials on the top of this Save-the-Date is a great design feature.

Love the modern twist on this wedding invitation.

The vibrant color as well as the variation in the fonts and font sizes is so unique.

And the hot pink chevron striped envelope liner adds so much pop!

The elegance of this invitation is brought up a level with the added beveled edge. Fabulous!

Belluccia Calligraphy Font featured in Celebrate Weddings Magazine Layout

Celebrate Weddings magazine used my Belluccia font on its cover and in several featured designs as shown in the pictures below.

Look at the beautiful personalized menu in my Belluccia font tucked into the napkin.

Notice how it matches the escort cards awaiting the guests’ arrival. What a great touch!

Love the creative display on chicken wire using tiny clothespins.

Wedding Invitation and Save the Date by Lauren Chism Fine Papers

I love the high contrast of this ‘Amelia’ wedding invitation by Lauren Chism Fine Papers.

The curves of my Belluccia font stand out beautifully against the dark gray background.

Look at how cleverly she created the RSVP card in the opposite color combination.
Also love the separate celebration card.

What a fabulous idea for a thank you card! Very personalized.

This design is also available in a Save the Date for a fully coordinated wedding look.
Gotta love the striped backer–how fresh!

It’s hip to be “square”:) These measure 6.75″ x 6.75″ and can be paired with an inner and outer envelope, or a gorgeous over-sized pocket fold enclosure.

And I love the fact that you have your choice of pattern backers.

Such a fabulous selection! They can also be used for envelope liners.

Lovely detail…the back pattern was also used in the corner of the R.S.V.P. card.

Letterpress Wedding Invitation with Belluccia Calligraphy Font by Lettered Olive

This wedding invitation suite created with my Belluccia calligraphy font by lettered olive is just oozing with gorgeousness.

The beautiful scroll design helps to feature the lovely letterpress printing.

The delicate lavender laser cut belly band adds an intricate and delicate detail.

The bride and groom’s name are beautifully paired with a simple text font.

What a lovely place for Belluccia to show off her curves:)

The lavender and scroll work is brought together on the simply elegant wedding program.

The subtle pattern printed behind the lettering and the darling bows are a nice touch

to the Just Married sign.

Monica Lee of Smart Creative Women

I just received this darling tote that I won from Monica Lee’s Smart Creative Women.

It’s made by Dash & Albert.

How cute is that tag! “Fetch in Style”…gotta love it.

So how did I win it you ask?

I was listening to Monica Lee’s interview with Annie Selke of Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert.

Afterwards I commented on her blog, shared the interview on facebook and twitter and was entered into a giveaway contest.

She seems to have quite a few of them with items donated by the guest.

She’s like the Oprah of the Internet:)

She has another give away going on but I’d feel greedy entering since I’ve just won this fab tote:)

But there’s no stopping you!

I work in my studio all day long. I chat briefly with my hubby who also works out of the house or a client who pops in for 5 minutes to drop or pick up something.

But it’s normally just me and my pens, brushes, paints, inks, papers and computer.

So on most days, I listen to Monica and one of her fabulous guests while I work away.

Her voice and sweet personality brighten my day.

And the info shared is always helpful to me artistically or business-y.

She also has an internet course called Smart Creative Dreaming.

Check it out if you are in need of help to guide you to live your dream.

I haven’t taken it, as I am already “living the dream” as a lettering artist and font designer.

But I’m sure that anything Monica does is well thought out, practical and focused on what her attendees really need to get them further along.

She also does private coaching and is a lovely watercolor artist who licenses her work!

What can I say…I’m a huge fan of this cool chick.

How to Tutorial: Bringing glyphs into Photoshop

Hey friends. It’s time for another How to tutorial : Bringing glyphs into Photoshop.

Have you ever wondered where you can find all the extra letters and flourishes that font designers create that can’t be accessed by the keyboard?

Well, they are stored in something called a “glyph panel”. This panel contains the total of all of the letters, flourishes and ornaments that are included in your font.

Since there are only so many keys you can type to create words and access everything contained within a font, the rest of the characters have to be stored in the glyph panel.

In Adobe Illustrator and InDesign you can access this panel by creating a text box then clicking on “Type” then “Glyphs “.

But Photoshop doesn’t have a glyph panel. ( Microsoft Word doesn’t have one either.)

So you have two options.

The first one is to purchase a software app called “PopChar“. I have it and love it.

But in order for it to work with a font, the font has to have been uni-coded by the designer.

( You can bet my calligraphy fonts, “Belluccia” and “Dom Loves Mary” are!)

The second option involves accessing the glyph panel in Illustrator or In Design then placing the file in Photoshop.

That’s the process I describe, step by step, in my video.

Wedding Invitation Suite and Place Card with Belluccia

This wedding invitation suite and place card with Belluccia were made by Paper Palette Stationers.

The Prussian Blue and Smoke Ink combination is crisp yet soft at the same time.

It features a finely-detailed acanthus design on the corners

with coordinating designs for use on enclosure cards.

I love how they used the belly band for the bride and groom’s names

and to hold all the pieces together.

Here’s the whole set showing all the separate pieces.

The combo of text type with my Belluccia font is well balanced.

I especially like the look of the return address.

For a different project, they created place cards from the Envelopments collection.

The floral back ground adds a soft bit of design to the simpler ivory card.

Love the addition of the rhinestone to the monogram!

Both the invitation and place card designs are very elegant!

Wedding Invitations with Belluccia by the Aerialist Press

Check out these beautiful wedding invitations with my Belluccia calligraphy font

available at the Aerialist Press!

The talented husband and wife team of Alexandra and Craig have used their design skills to create this “Vineyard” letterpress invitation with just the right balance of a clean modern arrangement and charm.

The coral ( the hot new color this year) and gray is a soft ethereal combination.

While the flowing branches of leaves and simple bird silhouettes add a sweet touch.

This “Pemberley” invitation suite goes for a bolder pop of a deep red-orange.

Letterpressing further enhances the beautiful floral and bird embellishments.

I LOVE both the color and the angle of the address on the kraft envelope !

As always, the Aerialist Press does my Belluccia font proud.

They even used it in their logo!
