Today’s post: Dom Loves Mary: Una Bella Vita!
Moment by moment, Dom and Mary created a beautiful life.
In Italian, we say “Una Bella Vita”
From their first years as newlyweds…
to years spent with their growing family,
they enjoyed the simple pleasures.
Those every day moments , like a good meal…
or a day at the beach, were cherished.
Whether it was Dom planting his annual flowers in front of the house…
or Mary cooking up a batch of sauce.
They enjoyed celebrating special occasions with friends or playing cards around the kitchen table. Mary always won:)
They were grateful to enjoy winters in Florida away from the cold of the north.
And Mary would continue the tradition of being with us in Dallas for Christmas.
Yes, this young feisty girl who loved to sing and dance and her strong, silent guy had quite a life. A beautiful life.
And I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.
I hope the font that is named in their honor would make them proud. I know they would feel the love that went into creating it.
It’s also my hope that those using the font will have their own version of “Una Bella Vita”.
When I was thinking of how to end this lovely series, I came across some pictures that made me smile.
Immediately a voice in my head encouraged me to “go out singing and dancing.”
So here you go Mary.
