Cinque Donne: The Second Sister Honoree

As you know, from my last post, my new Cinque Donne font is named in honor of women, in particular, my sisters and girlfriends.

Today’s focus is on my sister Maryann.  She’s a mother four and grandmother of eight with one on the way!

The best way to describe Maryann is to use the word, Sweetheart.

She has a heart of gold and genuinely cares about people.

When I was nine, she was right in the middle of her teenage years.

That meant dancing with her girlfriends in the basement and talking about boys.

Of course, I was enthralled with both topics.

To my delight, she let me hang out with her and her friends and taught me all the latest dances.

That attention and inclusion made me feel so special. And I actually won a dance contest using the moves she taught me:)

That’s the feeling she still gives to everyone she meets.

When her daughter sees me dancing at a family wedding, she’s always quick to note,

“You dance just like my mom!”.

I’ll take that as a compliment!

Thanks, Maryann, for being such a loving sister, mother, and gramma.

Cinque Donne is #10 on the Hot New Fonts list!
