I just love the use of the large, angled words in bright white on the black, chalkboard like background.

The pink and white text font adds another high contrast look to this design.

I really like the way the letters go off the edges too. Looks very trendy and cool.

How pretty is this place card? Using the high contrast pink on black background along with the clipping

of the capital J, the designer has produced an elegant look that matches this yummy colored place setting

perfectly. I would definitely suggest this high contrast combo to adventurous brides who love color.

Also using my Belluccia font, Susan created this wonderful soft invitation suite.

I really like the watercolor wash she added to the various pieces including the inside flap of the envelope.

The color really highlights their names.

What a lovely and creative use of the couple’s initials on the sticker used to hold the

vellum covering over the invitation.

Free Calligraphy Floral Printables

Hello Lovies!

Spring is already in the air in Texas.

So I thought I would make some calligraphy floral printables to share with you.

Just click on the pics below and “Save as” on your computer.

I started with an original quote and hand lettered it in the shape of a tall vase.

I fashioned the words into vases because it’s my belief that we all decide what we want to fill our lives with.

I like to put happy things in mine!

I hand painted parts of the flowers and leaves and added one of my Belluccia font borders to frame it.

The question ” What do you want your day to look like?” was asked of me a long time ago

when I was deciding whether to expand my small part time business or keep it limited

so I could have more time with my kids and husband.

My sons were still only 5 and 8 at the time.

As soon as I answered it, I knew exactly what I needed to do.

Both of these questions are still something I ask myself when I’m contemplating a new venture.

There are only so many hours in a day.

I want to spend them doing the things I love as much as possible.

And being with the people who make me smile.

I hope these simple prints remind you to fill your life with good things every day.

Oh and by the way, the decision I eventually made oh so long ago was NOT to expand my business.

And I don’t regret one delicious moment.

But since my sons have both grown and are out of the house, I’ve been moving ahead at full speed!

FREE Printable Chalkboard Wedding Signs using Dom Loves Mary calligraphy font

Today’s Free Printable Chalkboard Wedding Signs were inspired by a combination of my last post featuring a Chalkboard sign by Ciera Design. And the giveaway contest I had on Brenda’s Wedding Blog.

The winner was chosen Nov. 12. She will receive artwork created with my Dom Loves Mary font including : 15 Table numbers, A Bride and Groom ( or Mr. and Mrs. sign), a set of 15 Table Number signs and 4 additional signs of the winner’s choice. (Ex: Sweets, Photo Booth, Thank you, Just Married, etc…)

Brenda asked the participants what they would want on their additional signs. There were so many great responses, I decided to create the top 4 choices as FREE PRINTABLES that you can download and print on 11″ x 8.5″ card stock.

I put my Lettering Art Studio copyright mark to protect my work on the internet. But you can easily cut out the black sign and adhere it to another piece of white or colored card stock when you are using it for your wedding.
